    Depedro y vetusta morla

Depedro premieres a videoclip with Vetusta Morla for the song «Diciembre». It is included in his new studio album released last October 26th, «Todo Va a Salir Bien», recorded live in the studio and includes great collaborations with Luz Casal, Coque Malla, Santiago Auserón, Izal, Fuel Fandango, Amparo Sánchez, Camino Lara and this one with Vetusta Morla.

This new work of Depedro is not a mere compilation of adventures with great friends to color the already known themes. It is an opportunity to re-interpret part of his songbook once the compositions have caught the taste of the barrel of hundreds and hundreds of concerts.

Also included are three new songs, «Flores y tamales», composed with his essential Joey Burns for Calexico, «Vidas autónomas», with the creative collaboration of Camilo Lara and his Amparo Sánchez, and «Por qué, cómo y cuándo», a song with a rhythmic swell inherited from Mediterráneo with drops of Brazilian samba.

Vetusta Morla, Iván Ferreiro, Mala Rodríguez, Novedades Carminha, Depedro, Andrés Suárez and Eme Dj are the first confirmations of the first edition of Caudal Fest, to be held in Lugo on September 21 and 22.

Meanwhile, on Friday, September 21, the program will be enjoyed in the heart of the city center, in the Plaza de Santa María, where free concerts will take place and whose protagonists will be announced in the coming days.

They draw attention to the fact that just a few meters from the stage are two of the «most valuable» legacies left by the Romans in the city (in addition to the Wall): the Bridge and the Baths, which are located down the Roman road of Via XIX.

In conclusion, they assure that the philosophy of Caudal Fest is «a vocational bet for fun, for the essence of the culture of authenticity, for coexistence in and with nature and for respect».

That’s why «Todo va a salir bien» is Jairo’s battle cry. An optimistic exercise far removed from the over-sweetened good vibes of Mr. Wonderful’s mugs, his «Todo va a ir bien» is a we’ll get out of this. A we can do it. Being aware that losing is in our equation, but that, thanks to friendship, we will be ready and willing to undo the next mess. Jairo’s concept of friendship is that of a true friend: the one who tells you the good and the bad. That, precisely, is what a friend is, and those are few and far between.

This new chapter of Depedro’s adventures is not a mere compilation of adventures with his cronies to color the already known themes. It is an opportunity to re-interpret part of his songbook once the compositions have caught the taste of the barrel of hundreds and hundreds of concerts. This is how records should be recorded, in one take after having been played in dozens and dozens of places around the world.

In addition, three songs not included in Depedro’s discography appear in this new release: «Flores y tamales», composed with his essential Joey Burns for Calexico, «Vidas autónomas», with the creative collaboration of Camilo Lara and his Amparo Sánchez, and «Por qué, cómo y cuándo», a song with a rhythmic swell inherited from Mediterráneo with drops of Brazilian samba in which Jairo empties himself emotionally as never before: «Quisiera ser como un padre genial y no quedarme en el intento» (I’d like to be like a great father and not stay in the attempt).
